"Via Verde" homes, developed by Imperial Homes Corporation, is the first solar-powered community in the Philippines. The project consists of 1,000 solar powered homes equipped with 500 watts of solar panels each. 

According to IHC Chairman Emma Imperial, "the project aims to alleviate the country’s backlog on mass housing currently pegged at three million.”

The housing development is situated in Santo Tomas, Batangas.
