Senior Sales Executive (Singapore)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage stakeholders of assigned industry – Alternative Energy (Wind, Solar PV or Energy Storage)
  • Identify prospects through various lead generated activities, including tradeshow, direct mailing, advertising, cold-calling on key industry players and referral program
  • Receive prospects from telesales and/or customer service professionals
  • Interface with prospects to understand their purchase decision makers, decision making process and criteria, and their needs
  • Provide value propositions, handle objections, prepare quotes, and close sales by getting prospects' commitments
  • Acquire new customers, crosses sell to existing customers, and saves customers at risk
  • Lead the development of sales presentations for potential new clients, to grow clientele for UL’s services
  • Meet the assigned sales quota
  • Prepare and submit sales report, which includes tracking of order amount, demand forecasting and market intelligence
  • Work closely with Operations and Insides Sales to achieve sales revenue and orders goals
  • Work effectively in a team environment with Commercial Operations, Technical Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Field Inspection Services to ensure the most efficient use of all resources
  • Promote a customer centric mindset within the Renewable Energy business


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Engineering or related field, Diploma holders with at least 10 years of relevant experience may be considered
  • Experience in MNC environment with at least 5 years relevant experience in power generation equipment sales will be highly preferred. Experience in the Testing, Inspection and Certification industry is highly desirable
  • Practical understanding of current and emerging requirements of the renewable energy and power generation markets; and customer financial drivers and needs
  • An individual contributor with proven sales track record; customer service orientated with strong presentation skills
  • Proven ability to operate in a team environment and work in a matrix organization
  • Highly organized, proactive and business-oriented
  • Demonstrate initiative, adaptability and problem solving skill in a changing and dynamic environment
  • Proficient in spoken and written English
  • A self-starter who is independent with creative thinking, works well under pressure and is willing to travel (possess valid driving license)
