Finance Manager (Malaysia)

About the Company

A Multinational engineering firm with an office in Kuala Lumpur in the renewable energy sector is looking for a Finance Manager to overlook their operations in Malaysia.


  • Establish internal control procedures related to the companies’ business
  • Assist with the registration for direct and indirect taxes, including incentives
  • Monthly Financial and Management Reports
  • Maintain accounting records including data entry of complete and accurate data for day to day business transactions
  • Prepare the monthly group reporting to the head office
  • Assist in the planning, co-ordinating and monitoring of the statutory audit of the business units
  • Assist in the budgeting and forecasting, which is in accordance with operating plans and Group policies
  • Manage and monitor cash flows
  • Process payments for suppliers
  • Ensure that the business units’ funding requirements are adequate and servicing of such borrowings is properly managed


  • Formal educational background
  • University level degree, preferably with specialization in Finance, Accounting
  • Comprehensive excel skills
  • 5-10 years' experience within accounting, tax (direct and indirect), controlling, budgeting and internal controls;
  • Preferred experience from the Renewables, Real Estate or Infrastructure sectors or from other industries / companies with strong financial practices
  • Organised and methodical, a hands-on “doer” with attention to detail, able to handle complicated models and large contracts
  • Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative
  • Social and intercultural competence, able to coordinate and communicate with external parties and to manage work of others
  • In addition to local language(s), fluent in English, both written and spoken
